Skin care with Sugar & Herbs

It’s already June and I just can’t get off the fantastic long weekend during during the Memorial Day. You get a recipe for awesomeness when you mix a long awaited vacation, an unforgettable anniversary in the sun (checked one off my bucket list here), a scenic drive to Baker Lake – a must-see in very own PNW and of course a relaxed me-time at home.

Talking of a relaxed me time, raise your hand if you like to spend time in your hot bath tub. I do, especially with my Sugar and Herbs Tub Tea after a tiring vacation. A hot tub bath is perfect for relaxing both physically and mentally. I can just hear Chandler Bing from “F.R.E.I.N.D.S say, “I have had a very long, hard day”.

I have a moderately sensitive skin with fairly open pores. For this very reason, I am skeptical on trying new products on my skin, which is probably why I don’t blog much about them often. But with the products I received from Sugar Herbs, I not only felt comfortable using them but also writing about it. I received body butter, body scrubs, lip balm along with Tub Teas in Espresso, Lavender and Rose fragrances (three of my all time favorites) from Sugar & Herbs.

The scrubs were slightly hard for the face as they are pure sugar crystals but they were great for the body to exfoliate and feel fresh. The tub teas were soothing and the body butter was perfect keeping my skin hydrated for the whole day.

What I like best about these products is the fragrance. Trust me, when I smelt the espresso scrub, I could not resist having a cup of freshly brewed coffee immediately. The products are made of absolutely natural ingredients, in small batches and with no preservatives. What more does the skin need?

My idea of blogging is not just talking about products I use, but talk about things that interest and inspire me. This story is no different. Social media, especially Instagram has been a great medium to meet inspiring and wonderful small business owners and also watch their journey grow  into successful entrepreneurs. As I aspire to become one, one day, its amazing to associate with such entrepreneurs and talk about small businesses and promote them. I met, Michelle, one of the founders of Sugar and Herbs on Instagram and it was very exciting to know that Sugar and Herbs, a home based venture is now a part of the project for the Bachelors in Marketing and Entrepreneurship program at the Green River College, Kent. This course encourages the students to get hands on experience on the real life business and provide funding to set up the company and run the business. Now that is real hands on experience! Icing on the cake, all the proceeds from the sale from Sugar & Herbs products go back to the college to help educate the next class.

You now have a better reason to shop at Sugar and Herbs, for your balanced skin care and helping others. And for your benefit, enjoy 20% off your order by using “TDL20” code when you shop at Sugar & Herbs.

Finally, congratulations to the team of Sugar & Herbs on their graduation this June 4!!! Good luck team. You are doing great!

Happy weekend!
